Artist Resin will produce a crystal-clear, glass-like finish that enhances and protects your artwork. The resin is VOC free, and highly UV resistant. Medium Viscosity is great for molds around 1/4 ; it will suspend glitter or mica well for a mold. It has a hard finish and is the most versatile resin (works great in cooler weather). It also works great for tumblers as a base coat of a flood coat.

This product kit includes (1) 1/2 gallon Artist Resin Part A and (1) 1/2 gallon Part B Hardener. FDA Compliant Resin Complies with FDA 21 CFR 175.300. Culture Cast Resin is FDA Compliant and VOC free, and made for thicker pours from 1/4" to 2" thick. Artist Resin enhances your work and is completely transparent. Artist Resin is heat resistant up to 500 degrees F.

Artist Resin protects your work from harsh sunlight. The previous reviewers giving CCDIY one star based on the amount of epoxy given is unfair as most epoxy is labeled this way.

Anyways, I came from using Alumilite epoxy and hated it. The work time is about 45ish minutes. CCDIY is also a thick epoxy so you need less coats overall. The shine is glasslike and I can often see my reflection once itâs cured. If you havenât tried any CCDIY products I would try some ASAP!! And also check out their website as they have so many other products that work directly with their epoxy to create beautiful products! In what temperature does Artist Resin work best?

Artist Resin works best in temperatures between 70-75 degrees F. The working time depends on the temperature of the resin and the temperature of the room you are working in. If the temperature is around 72 degrees F, you should have 30-45 minutes of working time.

The cooler the resin and the room, the longer the working time. The warmer the resin and the room, the shorter the working time. What is the difference between Casting Resin. Artist Resin pours less than 1/4 thick. Ideal for petri molds, river tables, jewelry making.

It is also a bit softer so in some cases, we recommend doing a topcoat with Artist Resin the next day to create a durable shell for items such as coasters. Hard Cast cures very hard and has a thinner viscosity than Culture Cast. Artist Resin is FDA compliant and VOC free as well, it is made for pours less than 1/4 thick. Ideal for resin art, countertops, serving trays, geodes, glitter tumblers, and marble paint tumblers.

It is very hard and durable. How does it react to the heat? You should not expose Artist Resin to prolonged heat sources, this could amber the resin. For example: hanging a piece directly over a fire where it is exposed to long periods of high heat. How can I get rid of bubbles? Ensure that resin is warm when mixing. Warm resin will mix easier without creating as many bubbles.

You can also torch the resin with the recommended torch. A hairdryer or heatgun will not produce sufficient heat to pop bubbles in this resin.

We recommend using an automatic lighting torch attachment with a propane canister. Even a small artist torch will not provide enough heat to pop bubbles. Get the viscosity that's right for your project. Professional materials for every artist!
